Knock on Woods @ the Impossible Ship, inside Maria Kapel in Hoorn, NL (May 1-8, 2009)

For the fifteenth site Knock on Woods was invited by Swintak, to temporarily occupy an installation inside a chapel in Hoorn, North Holland.

Here the forest and cabin were incorporated into an existing installation "Impossible Ship" inside the Mariakapel. Collaborators who created the Impossible Ship did residencies in Knock on Woods.

"I brought with me pen marker water colour paints Dante's Paradiso water brushes paper & cardboard jacket camera. I reread part of Canto VI fell asleep and on awakening I wrote some thoughts with brush & water colours (the jacket was my pillow). I feel refreshed and alive. My fear is lessened bla by my stay. Thank-you."

"talking, taking notes, brainstorming, drinking wild blueberrry cordial, gathering inspiration for de-overstimulation spa for Venice RP2 Bienniale (reverse pedagogy), simultaneous massaging of Niki Singleton's feet, rhythmic chanting, lady hair experimentation (with headbands), creating state of calm, bathrobe, lists, diagrams. visionary experiences."
